According to Decrypt, a user named "Firebear" claimed on a forum related to data breaches that he had obtained a personal information database of Binance users and claimed that the data was leaked in August.

The publisher also provided partially blurred data samples and stated that this information can be 'partially or fully sold'. However, despite Binance denying rumors of data breaches, cybersecurity experts still urge users to remain vigilant. Blockaid researcher Oz Tamir warned in a media interview that although this incident may be fake, such incidents often provide opportunities for phishing attacks and account theft scams. He suggests that users enable two factor authentication and remain alert to any unexpected communication to avoid potential threats.
